CSK aka Chennai Super kings sitting comfortably on top of the points table on the halfway stage of IPL 2023.

Some one says “Your Setback will be Stronger than your come back”. This is true in terms of IPL’s most successful & highest fan base team Chennai Super kings. Last year CSK ended 9th place in points table. But this year they comeback stronger in the midway of the tournament with a tally of 10 points in 7 matches.

Also my prediction will be among the four, 3 of the teams will be the top contender of this years playoffs 👍 which is first three from this current points table. Let’s See.

It is mostly evident that this will be the last season of Former Indian captain & Chennai super kings Captain MSD. So who’s gonna lead the team post retirement of MSD. The Top contenders are going to be Sir Ravindra Jadeja & Ajinkya Rahane.

Sir Jadeja will be an perfect choice but he needs to be groomed well in terms of captaincy. He’s one of the most reliable cricketer in all three formats for team India. If India wins WTC on his individual brilliance, he will get vice captaincy in Tests and he will be India’s future test captain. Since we already saw in the last year(2022) IPL. Jadeja captained in several matches, but his efforts went in vain. Even though he’s an good all rounder it takes some time for him to prepare for captaincy.

But when we look into Rahane in captaincy department. He will be a good choice if he continues play like this. Ajinkya Rahane continuing his Prime form in this current year IPL contributing valuable runs to the team in a rapid time. Since he had some experience in captaincy when compares to Jadeja.

He’s also one of important contender in CSK’s upcoming captaincy department. We already saw Rahane’s approach in down under test series as a captain in Australia even when Kohli is in off which is really Outstanding & magnificent.

I am sure Dhoni is gonna be present always in CSK department post retirement we aren’t gonna see him on the field but i am sure that he is gonna suggest what captain has to do I doubt CSK will be the same after Dhoni retires. Also it’s evident from the fact that whenever Dhoni didn’t play for CSK, they performed poorly.

And also see the Dhoni’s specialty will be whoever playing poorly for another franchises will perform better once they entered into CSK’s unit.

Rahane & Shivam dube will be the Perfect example for that. They underperformed in previous respective teams and now they’re doing much better than that.

Also Rahane earned a recall to the Indian Test squad considering his current form for the ICC World Test Championship final which will be held in The Oval, London on Jun 7, 2023 – Jun 11, 2023.

Also we all know that MS Dhoni is the one of the Top captain in grooming the youngsters as we already saw in Indian cricket Team Way back in 2007-2017

MSD uses inexperienced players like Tushar Deshpande, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Akash Singh, Shivam Dube, Maheesh Theekshana, Matheesha Pathirana. We saw how Tushar bowl in his first match but now he is in the race for the purple cap so its evident that Dhoni can produce great result with the current bowling attack but after Dhoni I think nobody can handle the current bowling unit much better. Let’s Hope Chennai Super Kings will perform better post his retirement.
