Jailer 2’s trailer doesn’t waste time reminding you who Tiger Muthuvel Pandian is. Rajinikanth is back in the same role, only this time he’s been lying low, driving around like an ordinary man while quietly hunting something much bigger than the idol racket he tore down last time.

The Kalpaks sit above that world, and he’s already on their trail.
Suraj Venjaramoodu plays Dileep, the stylish, dangerous face of the syndicate. S.J. Suryah comes in as Bodhi Kalpak, a colder, stranger kind of enemy.

Vidya Balan and Mithun Chakraborty join as part of a heavy, well-armed battalion lined up against him. Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar are confirmed to return in those mass ally cameos everyone still talks about from the first film. Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mirnaa Menon and Jaffer Saadiq are back in the mix too.
Nelson Dilipkumar writes and directs again, with Anirudh on the score, Vijay Kartik Kannan on camera, R. Nirmal editing, and Chethan D’Souza handling the action.
The trailer’s best beat is pure Nelson: a sniper standoff where Rajini sits with a hostage and, deadpan, offers them tea or coffee before the warning lands. Anirudh pushes it with sharp electronic percussion and those Hukum Reloaded motifs, cutting between Rajini’s quiet family-man face and the hunter underneath. Same man. Two completely different temperatures.
